The answer to your question is right in the lyrics I included:

"And just ’cause we believe in eternal security don’t mean we’re not concerned with personal purity ‘Cause those who’ve been elected, chosen, and predestined won’t rest ’til the day our souls have been perfected"

Obviously they do believe in eternal security (because that's what the bible says) but they also believe that all true Christians will grow in grace, and keep on fighting the fight of faith until their souls are perfected in heaven (because that's what the bible says).

As a side note, it's unwise to accuse an entire group of people (Calvinists) of a major sin (taking the bible out of context) with no examples or support for your accusation. It's inflammatory, unloving, and unethical.

does shai and timothy believe in that calvinistic doctrine of eternal security? we know the bible speaks about eternal security but the calvins take scripture out of context email them and ask them please and please reply

Thanks for stopping by. It's great to hear of the edifying results of these doctrinally-rich albums in other people's lives as well. I have to say that John Piper and John Owen are two of the authors that have most influnced me, also.

Hey these three albums are great i have got “the great awakening” yet but i really want to. i love just learning the lyrics to these and spittin them while i go for walks. i have followed a couple of their hints which lead me to learn alot more about hermenutics and thoelogy. based on just listening to those albums. ive found John Pipers ministry to be very good teaching. especially the How to kill sin series. i also found John Owens book “Of the mortification of sin in believers” i listen to alot of hiphop but these guys are all entirely about teaching good doctrine

Shai was gracious to send me those albums too. I have been meaning to post about them soon, on my blog. Thanks for mentioning them here. I really enjoy the "Killing Sin" album. I don't know if it would be possible to come close to the level of that album using any other musical genre. It is one of the blessings of that genre.
