&lt;p&gt;I do wonder if the section on the Trinity and its working in redemption couldn&#039;t be strengthened further by a consideration of Jn 3:34 where the sent Son is seen in relationship to the sending Father and the unlimited Spirit given to him.  You did mention this aspect briefly in the second to last paragraph, but it seems that it also supports the flow of the argument from John being made earlier.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;(If, by chance, you do not think Jn 3:34 is referring to the Father sending the Spirit, I&#039;d be interested in why.)&lt;/p&gt;
